When you milk a gimmick in an unfun way because you have no ideas:
I'm glad that this marks the end of my Zen level marathon. It's been pretty miserable to have to play these levels and make a little review for each one. I guess I learned something from this though. Although many level creators may be considered to be at the "top" of the creator sphere, many of those people fall into one of three categories: the lucky ones, the self-upvoted ones, and the arrogant ones. You fall into the arrogant ones. From the very start when I saw that ego "Z" in nightmare castle, I knew that this would be a problem. The levels you create, and everyone else's for that matter, really do tell how someone is doing in life, or what kind of person they, they really do. These levels that you have created show your ego, your arrogance, you small personaility, your ignorance, your idoicy, your hypocricy, they stand for many things. I think the most important thing to take away, is the arrogance. So many of the levels, all them really, feel like someone who just wanted fame. They had little to do in thier life, their friends don't really care about them, so they figure "well, I can probably make some fame off of mega man maker. After all, I am at "the beginning"!
So, you spend hours of your life wasting away at the game, making trash after trash level. At some point, you start to gain your so called "fame". You feel powerful, invincible. You feel like you are above everyone else. So what then? Well, you start to delete your older levels, the ones that did not do so well. The past reminds you of your embrassesments, your screws up so to speak. You can't let go of your ego so you just delete your past levels. Years go by and, someelse decides to review your level. The review brings up the arrogance, the ego, the hypocricy you have tried to hide for years and years. It forces you to face the darkest reality of all; a wasted life. So, you go to the reviewers page, you don't look in the mirror. Your "smart" comment to roast the reviewers brings you great satisfaction. You just didn't realize one thing; that person is better at making levels than you, has better taste, and has more game experience than you will ever have in your uncreative life. This entire level collection of yours has NOTHING to do with making something enjoyable for players. No joy, no fun, nothing to m,ake you engaged or think. JUst ego driven drivel.
Maybe I'm of a different breed, but screw your levels. Screwthe people who upvote this crap, I don't care. Sure, I could take notes of the few things to avoid but over all, screw your levels. They only point to one thing: QUIT MAKING LEVELS, QUIT GAME DESIGN, AND MOST OF ALL, STOP MAKING LEVEL!
